The Eatonweb Edit Your Weblog Listing Drive

The portal now supports weblog geneaology, ratings, reviews, updated date, birthdate, authors' birthdate, author's sex, multiple categories and keywords, along with the original language, country, description and author's name. With all this new information that i'm storing, there's become a huge number of older weblogs that don't list much information. I want this to change so for the next month (until 09/12/02) i'm giving away free textads as incentive.

How can I win? You can get a free textad two ways.

first, each week i will choose one weblog that has been edited in the prior week and create a 75000* impression textad (a $26.25 value) linking to that weblog. This also includes weblogs that have been added during that week, since i'm trying to increase the number of listings.

second, each week i will check my referrer logs and randomly choose from the sites that have sent people to http://portal.eatonweb.com/edityourweblogdrive/. that site will receive a 75000* impression textad.

So get your password, edit your listing and encourage everyone to come and edit their own listings.

*On 8/17/02 i cut the price of textads to .35/1000. because of this i upped the number of impressions on the free ad to 75,000. now a $26.25 value instead of a $25 value.
